Busy Artist

So I was on my way to the Art Rm just to see 1 teacher but to my surprised I find all 4 ot them.

Watch out for the final works on Awards Day.

It has come to my attention that people are reading my blog. People are asking how come only 2 updates per month.

Thus I will try as hard as possible to keep up.

New beginnings

So it was a short work week last week. So I was busy revising for CA with the sec 4s which will be next week. So the coursework was put on hold. But of course I've told them to carry on with their own developments. But of course I do not expect work to be completed by the end of CA. Why? I think I know these bunch of students pretty well to expect so much. So not to get disappointed, just dont expect much.

I was more looking forward to the long weekend. Its not that we were planning for a short trip to KL like we used to. But its more on finalising details on a property that we have been eyeing. Since last year, we hv bn leisurely looking at property across the border. It was more like a retirement nest that my husband and I were looking forward to. We went to so many places and looked at many different styles of home.

Why overseas and not in our own homeland. Well we were thinking that we needed a different pace in life away from buzzling Singapore. Finally we were just glad that the search has ended.

This is the name of the street which translated simply means beautiful street 5. How apt as 5 beautiful people will be bringing life to it. Heheheh.
But it was just love at first sight. We viewed the show house and fell in love with it.

We were very excited especially my husband. He keeps talking abt wt we should do with different sections of the hse. But we are still waiting for handover of keys. Only the initial stage now. Still a long way to go. So much going on in just one weekend.

Of course with such big commitment I was also feeling anxious if this would be too big for me. But of course we always pray for the best and hope all goes well.

Tribute to grandmothers

The week break is over.I did not go anywhere. Came back to school for 3 days to touch up on coursework. Of course there are complaints cos you dont hv full attendance. So wt else is new. This batch of 4E. Im so not surprised. No matter how much you work for them, they just dont want to work hard for themselves. Im jus so tired of saying the same old thing abt them. Enough said.

This week marks a big step that I will take in my life. Will update when more is confirmed. Looking forward to it.

Weekend was spent mostly doing nothing. Just routine. Family gathering. But with the new addition. My sis-in-law will be quitting her work to look after this liitle one. Some people may think that it wld be such a waste to just leave your career to look after your grandchild. But I really salute her. I think that it wld be so noble of a person to give up what she has to do things like this. As a mother myself, knowing that the grandmother is avaliable to ensure that your child is in safe hands give you a peace of mind when you are not around. I was lucky enough to be able to rely on my mum when my children were younger after giving up on maids and child-care. Of course not many of us are lucky enough to enjoy this privilege. My salute to all grandmothers.

Mundane

Last time I updated was 2 weeks ago. In 2 weeks so much happened. Its the March hols now, but really wt kind of a holiday is it when u r practically back in school almost everyday. But it is not a choice really when you have to handle 3 classes of coursework. But the sad part of arranging these extra classes, the ones who needs it most are missing in action. Every year we face the same problem. But neverthe less, I feel satisfied that those who came managed to finish quite a bit of work. The term ended with the sports day at CCK stadium. Was not feeling well the day b4. Missed the mgt meeting. Sports day was just the day where suddenly I felt that I needed to release all tension. I was asked to help with the cheerleading for heron hse. But seriously, how much can you motivate students to cheer when there u are raising your voice to the best of your ability yet they looked at u with their 'very stoned' look. Very difficult task. Seriously, I felt that I did a better job many years ago. It must be age catching up. Never the less, Heron hse got champion. Thats GOOD enough for me. I was so shacked after that but then I was scheduled to go for a meeting that afternoon. Damn sianz right. 3pm. My first visit to MI. Same time as A level release of results. So a bit crowded. But not too bad. The feeling as u enter the school is good. And meet some familiar faces. Must be from Zhenghua.
Saturday morning was spent at Fort Canning, Sunrice Academy with the cluster teachers. I love these sessions at Sunrice. This is our second visit there. Last year we did the Thai cuisine. This time its the Asian Cuisine. Wonderful dishes with interesting cooking tips.

After that it was off to the IT Fair. The human traffic was simply 'superb'. Its like the whole island congregated there. Really. But it was worth it. Got what I was looking for after an hour of battling the crowd.
