Practical completed
I cannot believe that I actually completed the practical exams with both my 3E4 and 3E5. Except for the 2 abseentees.. all of them finish. That's really an achievement after all the chasing. Worth coming back on Sat morning and staying back late today. But I'm truly shacked.
Exam fever
Its 2 weeks before the first mid year paper starts. Teachers are busy trying to get work completed and to prepare students for exams. But year after year its only the teachers who are working hard for the exams. The students couldn't even be concerned of the approaching dates. You make appt to see them yet you can wait till the cows come home.. they are nowhere to be seen. You go all the way to the class to remind them but do they care. You make appt to see them the next day, they take the next best thing out of it. Absentthemselves from school. They find all kinds of excuses.Some common ones include:
1. I didn't bring my thumbdrive today....
2. I do already but I left it at my uncle's house. Then today I'm not going back there.
3. Today I go back to my grandmother's house.
4. I do already.. I give you tomorrow.
5. Cher.. I can't find you leh..
Do I give up on these lot?

Life is back
My hubby who was away for 8 days is back. He came back last Sunday night but was down with flu. I can imagine how shack he must have been cos this trip is definitely no holiday. Its like a celebration of the birthday of the Prophet so most of the places they visit is the 'makam' in the remote places of Surabaya. The travelling time is long and hard. So he is really sick due to lethargic. But so happy that he is back.
SYF for the girls are also over. Hafiza had her band performance last Monday and Nadia had her dance on Tuesday. Finally.. now at least can focus on coming exams.
What I learnt in the absence of my hubby:
1. People who care for you will make effort to call you just to find out how you and the kids are doing and I really appreciate these ple. They are of course my mum, my niece through MSN, my sister and also my sis-in law Kak Mah. Thank u. The rest if you tell me that even if u did not call ...but we are in your doa...mmm..... wtever... Actually no diff whether ple call or not.
2. I can manage well without my hubby; can cope with routine and manage the kids well..but emotionally not strong enough to handle his absence. I realise that I reach the peak of missing him especially after the third day. Amazingly after the 4th day time flies and soon it just a matter of time before he is back.
3. Need him to drive around to get things for the kids like going to Bras Basah. Funny .. got lost along the way. But still manage to reach there after a few turns..
4. I hate it when its a long weekend and he is not around. So must keep ourselves occupied. Luckily my niece has her open house so we were busily occupied with event for the day.
5. Finally my hubby tell me that wtever that happens ' ada hikmahnya'. Meaning every cloud has a silver lining.
Today a fren told me of a good news.... I'm so happy for her... finally the day that she has been waiting for is here.. she's going to be a MOTHER. Congrats....
I pray that such good things be passed around and others next to her will soon received such gd tidings too..

Lesson 1
5 things I learnt abt teens:
1. When you are given the permission to go out with your 'dahling' frens....take advantage.
If you are going to the library... don't go straight home. Take the opportunity while you are out to go for lunch. Go faraway cos this is the only opportunity that you will get. If you are in town for a crappy pementasan.. take the opportunity to go for dinner also. Take the chance to celebrate a fren's bdae.
2. Don't call home...wait for home to call you.
Of course the parents will call you to find out where you are... don't tell them wt time you will come back.... they will tell you the time to come back..then start barganing. If you are on the train and you are 7 or even 10 stops away from home, just say that you are at the MRT station, reaching home soon.
3. SMS to say your HP battery flat. Tell them NOT to call.
Then you switch off your phone. They can't call you. So you are uncontactable. So just enjoy your night with your buddies.
4. If your are goin to be late, might as well be VERY late.
After all you will still be grounded. So might as well take the opportunity to spend time with your 'dahlings' just crapping under the stars. Then its all worth the scoldings that you are goin to get.

Spent wtever you like...even if you finish more than half of it within a week. Then you can stinge to two dollars a day. Or you can show your sad pathetic face and ask for an advance. They will definitely give you.
