Catching up

It seems like my blogging life just stopped in April. So here's a brief recap.





Update 1: have been really tied up with my graduating classes practicals. I was trying hard to get it done before they become really tied up with the MT intensive. But with 3 graduating classes in my hand it is actually quite a task to complete all. So I had to come back for the past 2 Saturdays. I have been working on the food order together with Mani my kitchen aide. I really appreciate her help. The students have also become very familiar with her. Some students can really turn to her for help in identifying food. Cos as per normal, students take unfamiliar recipes from the world wide web as their source based. Then they choose recipes based on the photos. Photos that attract them are those that look attractive, appetising and as some wld casually put it' cute..cute' But the most important aspects like methods and ingredients are not considered. So they start looking for ingredients that they have no idea on how they look like. Then they start calling for Auntie Mani.... This year's students have amazingly raised your level of patience and tolerance to an even higher level. A level which you never realised that you are capable of. For example how much of your patience can be tested when they placed the serving dish in the oven to heat up the food, they reduced the recipes to sucha small qty that makes it totally impossible to cook up anything. But with a tinge of miraculous super power, it all turns out wonderfully superb. Now that the intensive programme had begun, I am finding it hard to find a suitable slot for my students. Still hoping for possibilities to get them to complete everything.

I just want to finish my practicals that Im even willing to come back on Vesak day. But then how? Pupils say they want to go temple...haiz haiz haiz.



Update 2: MYE exams way over. Now busy trying to complete marking and marks submission. I meet the deadline for submission and keying in of marks. Just hope that everythings OK. I remembered one year where we finish everything and then the data was not uploaded due to some corrupt thing. Had to redo everything.

Update 3: The HE dept is scheduled down again for another round of making cookies. I looked at the cornflakes cookies. The cookies looked at me. Mcm pernah jumpa gitu eh.. tapi di mana eh? (Lame) But what to do. CIP contribution.
